SAND LAUREL OAK (Quercus hemisphaerica) -
Sand Laurel oak is a medium to large sized, semi-evergreen oak of the southern Coastal Plain. It is also known as Darlington oak. Although not a prime timber species, it is a great addition for acorn production. This tree does well on sandy lands. It is a coastal species and is often found on longleaf pine lands.
