ON SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2026, OUR LINVILLE RIVER NURSERY GREENHOUSE, WHERE WE GROW OUR CONTAINER FIR, SPRUCE, AND HEMLOCK PLUGS, EXPERIENCED A POWER OUTAGE. THE LOSS OF ELECTRICITY TO THE GREENHOUSE'S FANS AND SHUTTERS LED TO TEMPERATURES OF OVER 110 DEGREES, DEVASTATING THE CROP INSIDE. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MEANS THAT LINVILLE RIVER NURSERY HAVE NO 1.0 FIR, SPRUCE, OR HEMLOCK PLUGS AVAILABLE FOR SALE THIS SEASON. WE WILL HAVE OUR PLUG+1 AND PLUG +2 SEEDLINGS AVAILABLE TO SELL, BUT KEEP IN MIND THERE ARE LIMITED QUANTITIES OF THESE SEEDLINGS AVAILABLE. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026, AT 8:00 A.M. THE N. C. FOREST SERVICE TREE SEEDLING STORE WILL OPEN FOR THIS SEASON. IMPORTANT - ANY ORDERS PLACED PRIOR TO 8:00 A.M. ON JULY 1, 2026, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND CANCELLED.

OUT OF STATE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 2026.

Each year we produce more than 10 million tree seedlings, offer an inventory of more than 40 tree species and even provide understory grasses that can help landowners achieve their management goals.

If you use a credit card or debit card in this transaction, the bank that issues your card may place a hold on your account. IF ANY SHIPPING IS REQUESTED (UPS OR DISTRIBUTION CENTERS), CHARGES WILL BE ADDED ONCE YOUR ORDERED IS PROCESSED. The amount of the hold will vary by bank and may exceed the purchase amount. If you have questions about your bank's hold policies, please contact your financial institution. The number should be on your card.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders will not ship UPS until November 2026 for containerized seedlings. Bareroot seedlings will begin shipping UPS and to the distribution centers in January 2027. Pick-ups at the nursery will begin January 2027.
