Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana)
Medium sized tree reaching up to 60 feet tall. Tolerates a wide variety of soils from wet swamp land to rocky outcrops; grows best on deep, moist well drained alluvial sites. Also grows well on deep upland soils like abandoned farmland. Birds eat seeds.
