Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica) - Pollinator
A slow growing medium sized native tree that can reach 50 – 80 feet tall and commonly reaches 1 – 2 feet in diameter. It is an excellent bee forage and grows across a wide range of sites. The dark purple fruit is attractive to many species of wildlife. Black gum has a deep red fall color and grows statewide.
